Silver Disc Necklace

Posted by: Jenni @ 6:40 am

My latest piece uses one of my favorite silver chains. It’s a fairly heavy silver chain which is a combination of round links and oval links. I’ve wire wrapped some brushed silver discs into the links and snuggled up to each disc is a little gold bead!

Pearl and Silver Bracelet

Posted by: Jenni @ 12:45 pm

A girl can never have too many wrist adornments ( or neck…..or ear…..or finger…..but that’s another story!) and as my friend Rose had sooooo many ( yes, there is a tinge of green in there) gorgeous, big, creamy pearls I made her another Pearl bracelet, this time with silver links and a toggle clasp.

Rose Gold and Pearl Bracelet

Posted by: Jenni @ 3:03 pm

For Rose’s bracelet I used 6 unusual beads made from Rose Gold. This specific gold has a wonderfully warm colour and complements the pearls beautifully. The bracelet fastens using a matching Rose Gold Toggle Clasp.

Pearl Necklace

Posted by: Jenni @ 7:01 am

I love pearls, they don’t have to be be perfect and costly or even white….. I love the imperfections of a freshwater pearl and the size of a baroque, I love the texture of coin pearls and the delicacy of seed pearls, I am a real pearl girl.

So my little heart skipped a beat when my friend Rose arrived with a very long strand of the most beautiful, enormous, white freshwater pearls. The strand needed restringing and it was also very long, we worked out that we could get a 50cm necklace as well as two bracelets out of it.

As these pearls were the star of the show Rose wanted a classic pearl necklace made. I strung them in the traditional way, knotting between each pearl and I used a beautiful gold toggle clasp as a fastening.

Silver flower and Peacock Pearl Necklace

Posted by: Jenni @ 5:31 pm

Silver Flower Necklace

The latest piece to be added to the site is a beautiful Pearl Necklace, made using the loveliest peacock blue freshwater pearls and tiny silver beads. I have made this necklace in the traditional way of stringing pearls which is on silk thread.

It’s a very time consuming, labour intensive way of stringing, but the necklace will then drape beautifully and because there is a knot between each pearl, should the strand ever break, you will never loose more than 1 pearl.

The pendant is something special…… The most beautiful solid silver flower, hand made in a fair trade co-operative in Thailand. The silver is 99.9% pure fine silver and is truly spectacular.

Crystal chandelier earrings

Posted by: Jenni @ 7:20 pm

crystal chandelier earringsI was asked to make a pair of earrings for Beth, who it turning 21. Beth apparently loves Chandelier type earrings and Jane chose this colour blue as it’s her favorite colour. I used swarovski teardrops and clustered various sizes of sky blue crystal around the teardop.

Happy Birthday Beth!

Becky’s Necklace

Crystal Heart Pendant NecklaceRebecca then asked me to make her a necklace to match her earrings. I used the same size crystal heart as a pendant and wire wrapped crystals to make the front of the necklace. I graded them in size, using larger ones in the front and smaller ones towards the back. I added a length of beautiful silver chain to make up the back of the necklace. It was a really lovely round silver link, but quite a big link and it finished off the necklace wonderfully. I think the finished piece was great and it’s definitely a bridal necklace that I am proud of.

Becky’s Earrings

Posted by: Jenni @ 5:53 pm

Rebecca contacted me for some earrings for her wedding which was at the end of March. She wanted the heart earrings, but wanted them to be made much longer as she was wearing her hair down. The finished length that she wanted was about 7cm’s. I added some Swarovski Crystals to the drop and finished it off with the heart crystal. I think they’re lovely!

Jackie and Kate

Posted by: Jenni @ 11:53 am

Cranberry Crystal HeartJackie and Kate (mother and daughter) are regular clients who love colour and have a very good eye for colour combining. Kate asked me to make up a heart necklace for her mum’s birthday (a daughter to hang onto with four hands!)

Jackie wanted a cranberry heart and Kate chose a pink ribbon, which initially I couldn’t visualize with the cranberry crystal. She was absolutely right though and the finished product is sumptuous – Happy Birthday Jackie!
