My friend Diana brought me a section of a Rosary recently and asked me to do something for her using the small garnets on the strand. The rosary had been her fathers and for sentimental reasons she wanted to have something made from the stones to remind her of him.

Garnets are such a deep, rich colour and they look fantastic mixed with gold. I found some interesting gold chain and mixed the garnets and some small gold beads along the chain.

I made a cluster drop as the focal piece in the front, which makes the necklace more contemporary.

Sinead was kind enough to send me some of her wedding pics yesterday. I honestly struggled to decide which one to post today, they are all lovely and she made a gorgeous bride! I decided on this one, because it sums up what I think a wedding is all about ( that and my necklace looks good in it!)

Sinead also wanted a necklace made for her wedding which was on the 12th January.

As I had made the earrings using very pale pink crystals and tiny white seed pearls we wanted something using those colours.

Sinead liked the idea of a choker and very helpfully gave me some pictures to work from. The result was a very intricate necklace using crystals, white pearls and teardrop crystals. It was made entirely of sterling silver and reminded me of lace it was so detailed.
